Questions and answers
Patch-Patch in short: how the three boards play, where the chips come from, what a guest keeps and what an account adds.
The game
What is Patch-Patch?
Patch-Patch is poker on three boards at once. Everyone gets 12 cards and, after the flop, splits them into three hands of four, one for each board. Each hand plays its own board Omaha style, and each board pays a third of the pot.
How do I arrange my 12 cards?
After the flop you see the three boards with four of your cards beside each. Tap two cards to swap them, or drag them, until each hand suits its board, then tap I'm Ready. Each hand uses exactly two of its four cards with three from its board, just like Omaha.
What is a scoop?
Winning all three boards in one hand. The pot is split in three, a third for each board, so a scoop takes the whole pot. A split board splits that board's third.
What are the hand rankings?
The usual poker ranking, strongest first: royal flush, straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair, one pair, high card. The How it works tour has the full chart with examples.
How many players sit at a table?
Patch-Patch tables seat 2 or 3 players. NL Hold'em and PL Omaha tables seat up to 6.
Can I play Hold'em or Omaha too?
Yes. The lobby has No-Limit Texas Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha tables for up to 6 players, with the same chips as Patch-Patch. Pick the game in the lobby's tabs.
Which stakes and speeds are there?
Every game has public tables at every stakes level, from 5-10 blinds up to 500-1000, and each level at three speeds: slow, mid and fast, which set the clock for every decision. You bring up to 150 big blinds to any table, private ones included.
Why are some tables locked?
New players start at the slow tables with the lowest blinds, 5-10, so the first hands are calm. After the first hands there (the lobby shows how many are left), every speed and every stakes level opens.
How do I play with friends?
Tap Friends at the top of the lobby (the two players) to open a private table, then share its invite link on WhatsApp, Telegram or any app, or show its QR code. Friends tap the link and sit down; a guest needs just a name. The table has a chat with quick messages and stickers.
Chips and fairness
Is it really free? Is there real money?
Yes, it's free, and no: there's no real money anywhere. You play with chips that have no money value. They can't be bought, cashed out, sent to other players or won as prizes, and there are no purchases in the game.
How do I get chips?
You start with 400 chips. A daily bonus pays every day: a guest gets a flat amount, an account follows a 7-day calendar that pays more as the streak grows. Missions and rare feats pay chips too. Signing in with Google pays a one-time bonus of 400 chips. Where available, you can also choose to watch a short video ad for 200 chips.
What if I run out of chips?
Wait for tomorrow's daily bonus, claim a mission you completed, or, where ads are available, watch a short video for chips. Nothing can be bought.
Are there ads?
Only ads you choose: a short rewarded video for chips, offered in the lobby where ads are available. There are no ads at the table, no banners and no pop-ups, and watching is never required to play.
Is there a rake?
The lowest public tables (5-10 blinds) and every private table take no rake. From 10-20 blinds up, a public table keeps 3% of each pot, capped at three big blinds. It's play chips either way.
Who are the House players?
While the community is small, house players may fill empty seats at low-stakes tables so a game can start. Their seats are marked with a House badge, and they give up a seat when a real player wants it. They play with the house's chips, never with yours.
Your account
Do I need an account?
No. Play as a guest with just a name. A guest's chips and progress stay on the device and browser that created them, and the daily bonus works for guests too. The starting chips go to one guest per device; another player on the same device signs in with Google and gets their own.
What does signing in with Google add?
Your chips and progress on every device, a one-time bonus of 400 chips, the 7-day daily calendar with its streak, daily and weekly missions, rare feats and the weekly leaderboards. A guest who signs in keeps every chip and all progress. From your Google account we use only the name and the email address, to create the account.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings (the gear in the lobby), About, Delete an account: it opens the deletion page, where you confirm. Or open patchpatch.app/delete-account, sign in there and delete. Deleting is immediate and permanent.
How old do I have to be?
18 or older (or the age of majority where you live, if higher). Patch-Patch contains simulated gambling with play chips and is for adults only.
